		<description>jmdesp:

The eudora folks are working to migrate their users to the Thunderbird code base while still retaining the features of Eudora that people love. They are building an extension to Thunderbird to accomplish just this. It's great news because it allows Eudora and Thunderbird users to share the back-end code, while giving each set a tuned user interface and thus user experience.

This work is a Eudora effort. It's sponsored by Mozilla as a project, so you'll find project pages in the Mozilla world. It is not a product that will be released by Mozilla.

I hope to have more to something significant to say about Thunderbird plans soon.

<description>How does the whole Eudora stuff integrates with the current questioning about Thunderbird's future ?
There was very little talk about that, but their release of a beta of Penelope puts them back in front of the news.
